Welcome to Your Life

My First Blog!

Recently I’ve been drawn to blogs.  I follow some diligently and some more sporadically.  It’s all part of moving into this century and its technology.  It’s about Facebook, Twitter and Google+.  But really, it’s about finding ways to connect with people.

I’d like to share my journey with you.  Hopefully some of what I’ve learned or what my guests have learned will help you live a richer fuller life – regardless of where you are now.

I am a therapist, a writer, a mother and a grandmother.  I work full time in Health Services in Canada (specifically, Calgary AB).  I am divorced (for 13 years) and love being single.  I have two spoiled fur babies, three children and six grandchildren, all of whom have taught me how to be in this world.  Well, them and my therapist.

I have a Master’s of Counseling Psychology, a Bachelor of business Administration and another in Psychology.  I’ve been part of the recovery movement for 30 years and it gave me my life.  Between the ‘program’, my education and my clients, I’ve learned how to live life on its’ terms and I’m anxious to share those lessons with you.  Perhaps it will save you some of the time it took me to learn them.

No topic is off limits.  No question is out of line.  And nothing I say is meant to be anything other than my opinion – if it works, that’s great.  If it doesn’t, discard that idea and find another.
